Scuttlebugs are an enemy type in Super Mario 64 and
Super Mario 64 DS.
Appearance
Scuttlebugs have a spider-based body. They have four legs on each corner, with cone shaped feet. Their main body is composed of a spherical, mixed color body, ranging from pink and red to yellow and orange. They have small eyes on the front of their bodies, which are red.
In the remake, Scuttlebugs are slightly different. They have black and yellow stripes on their body, which is now separated into the main body and the head (containing the eyes).
Attacks/Behavior
Scuttlebugs do not have any flattering attacks other than attempting to run into Mario, which only deals minor damage. Scuttlebugs are easy to defeat, only by stomping on their heads (identical to Goombas).
