On December 11, 2017, Super Mario 64 Official Wiki had 140 visitors! ^^
Oi! Somehow, somethin' went terribly wrong! XD
Freddy, Zenki and Semerone were sittin' in a plane for some reason and noone knew how to fly the plane! Nuuuuuuuu!!!
Then they crashed... TT
When they woke up, they heard someone saying: "Herp Derp!"
It was Godi Goni, who had saved them with his plunger and brought them to the Dank Meme Castle with his flying plunger, where they lived happily ever after!
Hello everyone!
I've decided to make some Userbox templates for this wiki, yes I know it's on thousands of other wikis, so why not put it here?
Even though mos of you know, just in case you don't, a userbox is a small box where you can put an image (or text) on the left side and then a little description on the right side.
For example, I'm an avid Xbox One gamer (kudos to you Xbox players), so I'll put a userbox that proves I'm a Xbox One gamer:
This user is a Xbox One/360 gamer. |
And there you have it!
Or maybe I'm a Wii U gamer?
Wii U | This user is a Wii U gamer. |
And there's that!
What if I collected all stars in the game?
This user has collected every star in Super Mario 64! |
This user has collected every star in Super Mario 64 DS! |
There you go!
I need to prove I'm a human!
This user identifies as a human being. No question. |
Gotcha covered!
We have quite a few usrboxes already, and you are absolutely free to make your own! (As long as they fit the requirements, and of course adhere to the rules)
Just make sure, when making a userbox, you always end it with "-Userbox" so people know it's a userbox. For example, "HelloThere-Userbox".
For anyone curious, here is the code for a typical userbox:
{| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="width:238px; background: [COLOR]; border: 3px solid [COLOR]"
| style="width:45px; height:45px; background: [COLOR]; text-align:center; font-size:14pt;" |[IMAGE OR TEXT]
| style="font-size:8pt; padding:4pt; line-height:1.25em;" |'''[DESCRIPTION]'''
|}
Everything in the brackets (COLOR, IMAGE OR TEXT, DESCRIPTION) can be filled with the choice of user.
Some userboxes, such as "LivesinCountry-Userbox" have some things to fill out. The userbox above is where you can insert an image of the flag and the country you live in, for example.
Like, if you live in Switzerland, you can use this code:
{{LivesinCountry-Userbox|Flag image link = I.imgur.com/o1WBzCC.jpg|1 = Switzerland}}
And it becomes:
https://I.imgur.com/o1WBzCC.jpg | This user lives in Switzerland. |
(I understand the image is big, but it's recommended to make it smaller, read below)
Also, for Images!
To make a normal userbox, please make sure your image is below 100x100px to make sure it looks well. Of course, you may make it as big as you wish but remember, that's a lotta space.
Thank you, and I hope you have fun with these!
I decided to create a new rumors thread, as the other one went quite off-topic and our dear wiki founder and good friend Freddy requested us tone down the mature topics featured in the previous rumors thread.
Thank you for reading this, and please enjoy this toned down repost of my previous entries for the Rumors-thread. ^^
This forum thread is supposed to act as a place to collect any rumors related to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS.
The currently known rumors are "L is real" and "King Bob Omb's remains".
Please don't post any mature or dark posts here, as these now violate the wiki rules. The admins will take the liberty to inform you, if a post violates the rules and will ask you to rewrite or remove it, or will remove it on their own, if you neglect to follow their request.
L is real is a rumor, that has been around since shortly after the original Super Mario 64 game was released. It is related to fans falsely assuming, that Luigi might be in the original game.
The rumor itself is related to the gravestone found in the backyard of Peach's Castle, which was often interpreted by fans as Luigi being in the original game. While Luigi was once intended to be ingame, he was scrapped during development due to issues with the integration of a split screen feature for two players into Super Mario 64.
So while there might have been an Alpha or Beta version of the game, where it was possible to play as Luigi, the feature never made it into the final game.
King Bob Omb's shame is a rather recent rumor, that has been mainly featured in various Super Mario 64 related YouTube Let's Play's of various languages, but not officially documented in text form by any sources outside this wiki, yet. It is related to the third Big Steely, that suddenly appears after King Bob Omb's defeat in the original game.
The rumor itself is related to the third Big Steely that mysteriously appears in Bob Omb Battlefield's sand pit at the fenced section of the entrance to the mountain's lower areas.
Before the player defeats King Bob Omb, there are only two Big Steelys in the pit, but this changes once the player gains the Power Star for defeating King Bob Omb.
There is a rather recent rumor, that the third Big Steely is King Bob Omb, who has curled up in shame, as he lost his face after his defeat at Mario's hands.
Ingame, his loss of face this is displayed in the most literal way possible, as the Big Steelys simply don't have a face. Though this sounds worse than it is and King Bob Omb is probably fine.
The referenced "loss of face" is associated with Japanese culture, as we often associate an avoidable defeat at the hands of a foe as a huge blow to one's face (or in your words "reputation") in the public.
Of cause, what is a loss of face or not, depends on the individual's values. So King Bob Omb was likely ashamed of losing to, what he assumed to be an inferior, thus losing face for underestimating his foe and showing false pride.
While King Bob Omb got better again, it is unlikely, that he ever learned his lesson, as he returns in Super Mario 64 DS to stir up trouble, again.
Strangely, this rumor only concerns the original Super Mario 64, as in the remake, King Bob Omb simply vanishes after his defeat and no one knows, where he has gone.
There are only two Big Steely in the remake, regardless, if King Bob Omb has been defeated or not.
